It’s an interesting question you have posed and it was floating around my head for awhile. Lo and behold a few days later I read a book by Microsoft designer Bill Buxton. He believes, “Innovation in process (manufacturing, sales, distribution, service, etc.) trumps innovation in product.” He adds, “Innovation in both trumps either.” I don’t know that his scale fits exactly into the awards and judging context but it’s a nice framework to further thinking on the issue.

It is amazing how texting is really starting to take over as a form of communication. The rise of smart phones with full keyboards has only accelerated the trend. I constantly find myself exchanging multiple texts with friends over something that could have been solved with a simple phone call in a fraction of the time. There are also a handful of people in my network now that don’t ever answer calls, but will immediately respond to texts.

Many people are so confused that they don’t know what, where, when, and how to start attaining their dreams in life.

The question remains: “How do I go about achieving my goals?”

The most important thing to do before setting a goal is to develop the proper mindset. By conditioning your thoughts to the direction of your goals, you will be able to eliminate all obstacles that come in your way and you will be able to achieve all your goals in spite of the pending challenges ahead.

You will realize your goals if you are bold enough to come out of your comfort zone and if you maintain that laser-like focus despite people telling you that you can never attain them.

Great point!
Would like to add one other view though.
The differential is not only equipment, which any adventurer can get from the store. The real value is the capability of translate the consummer´s soft issues into factories and production and NPD processes hard goals.
This my friend no one can get or act like they have.
not even IDEO guys can get it if they haven´t spent 10-15 years inside the trenches.
